2016 TechSurge: Underwater Cables, Connectors and Imaging SystemsMarine Technology Society is pleased to announce a joint Navy-Industry-University “Underwater Cables, Connectors and Imaging Systems” 3-day working session. This workshop will take place October  26-28, 2016 in Ft Lauderdale, Florida and is organized by the MTS Cables and Connectors Committee and the MTS Underwater Imaging Committee.

Past Workshops

2014 Workshop: Technical Support for Coastal Resiliency: The conference will focus on integrating federal and non-federal technologies and data streams, where Hampton Roads is a natural test bed for integration.  The event will be held at the Old Dominion University (ODU) Ted Constant Center - Blue Room in Norfolk, VA on June 3-4, 2014. 

2014 Workshop: Cables and Connectors: The event focused on "Industry Direction and Emerging Markets."  The event was held at the Town & Country Resort and Convention Center in San Diego, CA on March 6-7, 2014.

2014 Workshop: Ocean Sensors: The event provided a forum on ocean sensors and sensing systems to identify gaps in available technologies and identify R&D priorities and requirements to close the gaps. The workshop was held at Sheraton Lincoln Harbor Hotel in Weehawken, NJ on April 1-2, 2014. 

2012 Workshop: Oceans in Action: The Gulf Coast event focused on Marine Technology Advances in the Wake of Deepwater Horizon.  The event was held at the IP Resort in Biloxi, MS on August 13-14.

2011 Workshop: Oceans in Action: The Gulf Coast event on August 22–23 in Biloxi, Miss., focused on regional issues and applied operational aspects of marine technology.

2011 Workshop: Ocean Pollution: From Technology to Management and Policy: The workshop focused on bridging the gap between technology and policy and management, with cutting-edge tool demonstrations and the development of an ocean pollution scorecard that highlights the top technology gaps in each topic presented.

2010 Workshop: Ocean Observing: Thinking Outside the Basin: Perspectives on platforms, such as sensors and data infrastructure, and insight from non-marine industries such as space exploration and informatics.

2009 Workshop: Marine Technology for Offshore Wind Power: This workshop focused on the European experience. Several workshop PowerPoint presentations are available at this site.
