TECHNOMELA-2021, June 4 & 5

The two day event commenced with the inaugural ceremony of the fest TECHNOMELA, a flagship event of MTS India Section, and a session led by the chief guest, Dr. Venkatesan R Chair of MTS India section Scientist-G, Group Head of Ocean Observing Systems National Institute of Ocean Technology Chennai, India.  Students from different departments and semesters, took part in various events to showcase their technical knowledge and skills. The fest was conducted with the permission and guidance of the Chairman Dr. Mohan Magnani, the Principal Dr. Manjunatha, HoD of the ECE department Dr. Sanjeev Sharma, MTS Coordinator Dr. Nisha K C R and Faculty Co-coordinator Mr. Naveen H. The events brought attention to the hard work put in by the participants in showcasing their talents. The inaugural ceremony started at 10 a.m., June 4 followed by the events that ended on June 5 at 5 p.m. In this Technical Fest, we had involved application-based concepts which tested the participant’s technical skills. This was the biggest attempt from our technological clubs (PCC,EHC,TSC) at ECE Department. This event was a good opportunity for the participants to showcase their knowledge and to have a fun-filled experience.

National Webinar by BIT MTS Student Section, June 19

The Unmanned Underwater Vehicle Lab in association with BIT MTS Student Section organized National Webinar on “What is Software and Embedded Fundamentals?” from 04:30 PM to 6:15 PM on 19/06/2021. The session was handled by Mr. Muniraj, Cofounder of Bytes in Bits, Bangalore. He addressed the major classification of software’s and basic concepts of operating systems ant its applications. A total of 116 student members form ECE, EEE, E&I, CSE, IT and Mech attended the webinar and get benefitted. Mr. Selvamuthukumaran D AP II/MECH (BIT MTS Student Section councilor and UUV Lab in charge), Mr. A. Ramakrishnan AP II/MECH & MTS Student members organized the webinar successfully.  

Webinar by Sri Sairam MTS Student Section, June 26

The Department of Mechanical Engineering, Sri Leo Muthu Innovation Centre in association with Marine Technology Society, India Section organized a Webinar on *"Introduction to Marine Robotics and Acoustics communication"* on 26.06.2021 between 11.00 to 1.00pm. This Webinar was inaugurated by Dr. R Venkatesan Chairman of MTS India section; Resource Persons were Mr. Satish Ramacjandran CEO and Mr. Vijayarajan, Software Engineer, Navigation, AROBOTNX, Chennai India.

Overall155 Students belonging to 18 Institutions from various streams, registered and participated from various parts of the world. The participant Institutions include Sairam Group of Institutions, Aligarh Muslim University, Andhra University, Asian Institute of Technology, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Maritime University, Bangladesh Agricultural University, Bangladesh Oceanographic Research Institute, Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology, BUET, Chattogram Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Chittagong University, CVASU, Dhaka University of Engineering & Technology, Hajee Mohammad Danesh Science and Technology University, JAHANGIR NAGAR UNIVERSITY, Mangalore University, Noakhali science and technology University, Prince shri venkateshwara padmavathy engineering collage, Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, University of Chittagong, University of Dhaka, VISTAS, PALLAVARAM, Western Sydney University, Zakir Husain College of engineering & Technology AMU and many MTS Members.

MTS India Section would like to thank National Oceanographic And Maritime Institute (NOAMI) of Bangladesh who has facilitated the students from Bangladesh to attend the program.
