MTS Member Webinar | Open by Design: Extending Possibilities by Fostering Collaboration in Marine Technology
Description:Blue Robotics has operated for over 10 years with a deep commitment to openness - in their modular product designs, community-centric development, and open access to standards, specifications and source code. They were born out of and continue to exist to empower builders to create. Join us for this conversational webinar where MTS member, Blue Robotics will share their open source philosophy. In the webinar, Blue Robotics will dive into why they feel so strongly about open source in ocean tech, what it means to them - and also where it falls short. Plus, they will share some real-world examples of integrating this ethos into projects like DIY gripper jaws, their community forums, and sonar firmware. They will illustrate how transparency, modularity and open interfaces can reduce duplication, foster trust, encourage innovation and save development hours. Bring your questions, as there will be time at the end for questions with their Community Manager/Applications Engineer.
