Hear from a panel of leaders in marine technology with opening speakers Phil Beierl, Senior Vice President of the Aerospace and Defense Technologies segment (ADTech) within Oceaneering International, Inc. and Jake Sobin, chair of the Washington, D.C. section of MTS and sales manager at Kongsberg Maritime. Panelists include: Vice Adm. Jeff Trussler, Deputy Chief of Naval Operations for Information Warfare; Craig McLean, Assistant Administrator, NOAA's OAR Office; Dr. Leigh McCue, Associate Professor, George Mason University; and Zdenka Willis, Panel Moderator, MTS President.

This event resulted in the creation of the official Hindi UN Decade logo.

Rutgers University held two weeks of summer camp programs for undergraduate students with a focus on HF radar in the first week and underwater gliders in the second. Throughout the camps, students participated in classroom and field activities that introduced them to the technologies and the many applications they support.
