Tell us about your organization and how you connected with MTS:
Oceaneering, founded in 1964, is a global technology leader specializing in engineered services, products, and robotic solutions across a wide range of industries, including offshore energy, defense, aerospace, manufacturing, and entertainment. Our connection with MTS runs deep and spans decades of collaboration and shared commitment to advancing marine technology.
For 32 years, Oceaneering has proudly co-sponsored the annual Oceaneering/MTS Symposium, the fall meeting of the Washington DC Section of MTS. This flagship event brings together key stakeholders from the Department of Defense, maritime businesses, academia, and military services to celebrate and discuss maritime innovation. The symposium features a dynamic technology forum, a panel discussion with industry experts, marine technology exhibits, and invaluable networking opportunities—all culminating in a traditional Maryland crab feast.
In addition, Oceaneering has been a steadfast supporter of the Marine Advanced Technology Education (MATE) ROV Competition for over two decades. With MATE now part of MTS, this global underwater robotics competition challenges students from elementary school to college to solve real-world problems using robotics. Oceaneering is proud to continue our long-standing association with this event, inspiring and nurturing the next generation of subsea robotic innovators.
