THE FUTURE OCEAN WORKFORCE WORKSHOP

Description: This workshop will focus on new efforts to adapt ocean workforce development activities to meet the demands of the rapidly growing blue economy. Learn about programs being developed by the Marine Technology Society and marine science researchers that offer learners opportunities to engage with these industries. Leaders in offshore renewable energy and climate resilience industries will be encouraged to attend to expand connections with ocean science and technology faculty to discuss gaps in current ocean workforce preparation programs. Opportunities to support pilot projects and additional workshops to create partnerships between the ocean science community and industry will be discussed.
